Vision & Aims
Our vision is to, ‘inspire success through learning, community and faith’
At Silverdale St John’s Church of England Primary School, we believe that we are here to inspire success through the teachings of Christ, so that every child will flourish. Everything that we do, is in the knowledge that each of us is unique, and that through Christ we can do all things.
Our vision is based on Philippians 4:13 ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’
We believe that by putting Christ at the centre of all that we do, we will have the courage, wisdom and strength to…
- Provide a breadth of learning opportunities (academically, socially and morally) that are taught through a dynamic, child centred, sequential curriculum
- Empower all children with our Christian values, building in them a desire to make a positive contribution to their local and the wider communities
-
Be fully welcoming of all positions of faith and spirituality and guide children to understand Christian belief and teaching.
What does this mean to us?
At Silverdale St John’s Church of England Primary School, we demonstrate Christian values which are pertinent to all faiths. We use our curriculum, our community and our faith in all that we do, to ensure our school is inclusive, welcoming and celebrates an increasingly diverse range of families in terms of culture, religion and social economic background.
