Our School
Silverdale St John’s is a small, friendly and very happy village school. We are proud of our children, who are enthusiastic, energetic and have a passion for learning. Our mission statement ‘Inspiring Success through Learning, Community and Faith’ reflects our ethos; we help and support each other in our learning with Christian attitudes of Truth, Love and Respect. We utilise the beautiful environment of Silverdale to enrich our curriculum.
At Silverdale, we enjoy high standards of behaviour and attitudes to learning. We encourage independence, nurturing and celebrating the children’s abilities to question and challenge what they know. We are creative in the way we approach our curriculum, providing a rich variety of experiences that will develop, engage and inspire our children.
We realise that the education of the whole child is vitally important; this is why we are celebrated as a ‘family’ school where children feel happy, safe and proud to belong.

We use our Christian values to help our children make good choices. We help each child to be the best that they can be, in all areas of life, because they are all very special. We teach the children many things in lots of different ways. We use our local community to help them live in, and love, God’s amazing world.
